Aug 18 - GYR.ASE - Expiry date of warrants extended Mr. Bruce Costerd reports The company has received regulatory approval to extend the expiry date of 1,560,000 warrants from Aug. 31, 1998 to March 31, 1999. The warrants were issued pursuant to a March 1997 private placement and have an exercise price of 60 cents. A total of 1,060,000 warrants are held by directors and officers of the company. The extension of the expiry date of the warrants will give the company an opportunity to receive $936,000 in additional financing if all the warrants are exercised to help finance the continuing exploration programs on the company's mining properties in the Voisey's Bay area of Labrador.
