10Q's are written by lawers to outline investment risk. You would probably short
Microsoft solely on the basis of their 10Q.

William,

The 10Q for AMZN is far beyond typical boiler plate. I have read many and AMZN has more risks than any. They project no future earnings growth which is atypical in a 10Q although with a disclaimer that market changes, etc. are beyond their control. In either case, if you are comfortable with the AMZN business model and the chance of making money moving further into the next century as each quarter goes by, that is fine. I believe strongly that AMZN is doomed to fail The original business model proved it did not work. Buying inventory from jobbers was unreliable and increased the costs of goods sold. Econmies of scale are not working. More expenses for distribution and fulfillment centers are needed. There is no advertising from walk by and drive by traffic so all advertising must be paid for directly. This model of no brick and mortar being superior is proving to not work in this type of industry. That is how I see it.
