Sai,
Since you are new to this thread, I wouldn't expect you to know how long I have been an active participant but since you asked, I purchased PNLK in April and have been participating since then. If you had looked at my profile, you would see that I have been a 'long-term' poster. During the lull, I have chosen to be selective in my posts waiting instead to see the next phase of ProNet as speculation is the only arena for comment at this time. I have 'been there and done that' as the old tired proverbial saying goes. The many other long-term posters and I are well acquainted with each other...
In response to your question as to why I am long-term..
This is a subject I have covered ad nauseum in previous posts but I will explain again..
"Long-term' is a time threshold which has a different meaning for each individual...I have an extensive portfolio of many blue chip as well as internet companies. Companies that have stable management, viable product, and steady stream of revenue are one reason to be bullish. On the otherhand, internet companies, the successful ones to date, although not having revenue,(some are just now reporting profits)..meet my other criteria to hang onto them. I am not a daytrader, nor have the time or hindsight to move in and out daily, weekly and profit on the wave of up and down momentum.
PNLK is my only BB stock and I purchased it because management has a unique vision and no competition to date..It is by far, my most speculative play, and I know that from a software and development aspect(which I have some knowledge) that it will take time to come up with a functional website. Because of its unique nature, and the respected backgrounds of all the players involved, I feel it is worth holding through the different phases. There are very few stocks of this nature where the price is this attractive, especially in the internet arena..and if PNLK were to never get off the ground, I have not invested money I can't recoup from my other long term holdings.
Long term from my standpoint depends on the management and direction of the company...when PNLK changed to Rare Medium, I looked at that as being a positive long-term decision...
Anyway I could go on and on but I won't bore you or the other readers anymore...Hope I answered all your questions...you are welcome to PM me if you are still curious....

Terri has been always been active on this thread. I guess like many, Terri stopped posting when PNLK threads started looking like a 3rd class boxing competition.
Nevertheless, we had Terri and myself many exchanges through PM, as well as many other posters.
Since the thread is looking a little more adult and reading posts is becoming interesting and educative, posters like Terri, Ztect, Dr. Epstein etc... are slowly coming back.
I would in fact encourage all the lurkers who follow to start posting again to show the world we all belive in PNLK.

Regards
Malko

Sai,

This is a post I wrote back in early August re: being Long- term and why...

"Sure, most of us are sitting on a loss and I for one won't sell, even if it goes to a few cents. I followed this stock months ago when it was below a dollar . I think alot of things can be said in hindsight and even my friends said to sell when it went to 6 and I didn't. They also said to sell XCIT when I bought it for 36 and watched it drop to the low 20's a month later. I since watched it fly to over 90 and then split. Now I have double the shares at just a little over my initial investment. Do I call this hindsight?( that I didn't sell and cut my losses, knowing it was a company of the future with no earnings even to date.),,,
No I call it Long-term investing...holding during the ups and downs because you believe in the concept, management and the future potential...
Nothing has changed with PNLK..They still have the same vision, the same management and PR team. Yes, they changed from one well respected web building company for another but this shows me their determination and drive to meet their needs and deadlines even if it causes consternation amongst investors. They have listened to input from their trial customers and faced questions head on from critical posters. They issued a lock up on restricted shares. It again shows me good faith in their commitment to their investors.
I think many of us invested in PNLK because we believe in the awesome potential of the global aspects of the internet...Yes, many companies will fail, PNLK has no other competitor, they have a head start and have the experience to make it work...
For those that think it will fail and have nothing constructive to say, I say move on to stocks you are interested in...
During this interim period, the stock will move downwards while everyone waits...it will be the investors who believe in the company and don't watch every buy and sell, every uptick and downtick ..and even after Phase 2 comes out, there will be a phase 3 and 4 ; as the company will continue with their commitment to upgrade and add enhancements such as video-conferencing etc. There will always be the naysayers however, this is the American way...
None of us can predict the future , if PNLK were to fail, I will still have a roof over my head. There is some merit to the saying , risk equals the reward, and for me, PNLK is worth the risk......"

Another advantage of investing in a stock of this nature is the affordability of purchasing alot of shares...in the event this company becomes successful, you can sell some shares for a profit but hang onto the rest for a 'rainy day' in the future...so many quality stocks are too costly and require alot of capital unless you are playing options..which is another ball game all together..

Unless something drastic happens with management, Long-term for me in this company definitely is more than a year...It will take at least that and more with all their many phases to continue to improve and become a major global player on the internet..

I will say this, and without sounding like 'hype', this stock has the capability of moving quickly..For all the interest you have expressed lately in ProNet, I am surprised you don't feel that getting in under a dollar is worth the risk...

A special hello to Idaho Pete, Malko,Warren, Ztect,Dixie,Salmonman, LuckyLady, Dr Epstein, Peter Mui,Mr Patience ,Seal, Buche, Lane Hall-Witt, Carol and many others whose posts I have found educational, inspiring, insightful these past few months....
