Off topic glow was listed on the napeague letter on thier blivit list which considers them a pump and dump operation.Blivit List Several times in the past I have written brief reviews of stocks which were being aggressively "hyped", and have sent them out to The Napeague Letter subscribers as "Bulletins", as well as circulating them on the I-net. The response to these reviews has been very positive. As a result, I plan to do more of these, and have set up these Pages for them on the Napeague Web Site. As you may already know, some small-cap stock market letters do what is called "pump and dump"; they make extravagant claims about a stock so as to push the price up, and then "sell into" the increased demand for the stock. It is these stocks that I will be "reviewing". A side benefit is that, once in a while, one of these stocks is actually a reasonable investment... When I was in the Navy, a "Blivit" was defined as "10 pounds of s--t in a 5 pound bag", which is a good description for a "pump and dump" stock. It takes less time to determine that one of these is a "stinker" and identify the source of the smell than it does to prepare an in-depth Analysis of a solid stock. It takes longer to determine that such a stock is really solid - I have to look at everything, and not just at one possibly readily-apparent problem. Then, for a solid stock, I have to write up the Analysis and then code it in HTML. Since most "hypsters" have taken my e-mail address off of their lists, I don't always receive these "hypes". If you get an e-mail that seems too good to be true, please forward the entire message to me IMMEDIATELY by e-mail, with "Blivit" in the subject line. I'll review it as quickly as I can...and get the word out if it seems a bit "overstuffed". However, this activity will have a priority lower than that of exploring an opportunity.
