<<Arn't there any other companies out there that can come in and help.. take over would be nice..>> Let's face it, when they broke up AT&T and created the RBOCs, USW basically became the GTE of the RBOCs -- remember GTE 30 years ago -- backwater technology, lousy service, rural service area -- USW has the highest costs because of the large geography and comparatively sparse population -- it's never going to get any better or any cheaper, and nobody in their right mind would take it over.
