More Off Topic: Evidently you were closer to the data books than I. Its truly a mind boggling journey from back then to system on a chip development of today. But that stuff back then was truly revolutionary stuff on all fronts. A lot of dark art was accomplished to get those products through those old fabs and a lot of things had to be learned the hard way. Now design technology evolves rather than revolutionizes. The sophistication is orders of magnitude greater but the conceptual leaps are smaller and the revolutionary boundaries are much more esoteric and isolated.
