George Bush: "Read my lips: no new taxes." He took a forceful position in public. And when he broke his word, he lost his credibility and his office.

Bill Clinton: "I did not have a sexual relationship with that woman." Oh, he's about to crucified for that one.

I think he's going to admit it. The longer he waits, the uglier it's going to get. And he's still got to protect Hillary. Not in any personal sense, but in a political sense:

Hillary Clinton: "... a vast right wing conspiracy ..."

I expect the Democratic Party's #1 strategic goal is to defend this world view. If Bill capitulates now, it will be called into question. But if Bill continues to stonewall, that VRWC is going to continue piling up evidence and increasing its credibility at the expense of Bill and Hillary's.
