I think the numbers in the article are wrong. PC sales for CPQ are the bulk of their income. This includes servers and workstations of course. I figure a annualized rate of about 22 billion for this plus approximately 2.4 billion for the service component based on last quarters numbers of 5.2 B and .6 B for service. Last quarter results are probably distorted by their bookkeeping practices.

The Tandem business that they bought was about 5-6 B and about half that was service income. The DEC business was about 12 B and about 2.6 B was PC, maybe half was service and this rest was miscellaneous hardware.
