Dear Dan and all, The day we were talking about capitol punishment and I shared that we have to reach these kids with the Gospel and the love of Messiah before they get into crime I had an experience that I could use prayer with. As I shared that day we have some kids that hang around unsupervised (and we live in a neighborhood known to be a good family area). Well my sons have come home crying that some bullies have hurt them and knocked them off their bikes in the last month. Last Tuesday night I went out to play basketball with my sons when these bullies came. There were about 7 of them on bikes from the ages of 12 thru 16. They started riding very close to us on the basketbal court area and I asked them to please ride somewhere else since we are playing basketball here. That was all it took to start them off on me. This went on for awhile as they were riding faster and closer to me and my 8 year old son. I told my son to stay and keep playing for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. My older son went in to get ALan. When ALan came out they stayed off the basketball court but followed us home riding in and out of us making animal sounds. I called the police and they described them to me and shared that they have problems with them and they are connected to a gang called Brown Pride from another area. I became upset and did not connect this to the conversation here at this time I was just overwhelmed and feared them harming our property. The next day I talked to the Principle at the school and got the names of the offenders and then talked to the police liason at the school they go to. I am now planning to meet the parents with the police. A friend of mine had asked me to meet her for lunch the day after this happened, she is a phsychologist that is a strong believer and she told me of a new place for young boys that just opened to bring them to the Lord and gave me the information on it to give to the parents. My friend had asked me to lunch before this happened. So now I am starting to see how the Lord is using this for His good work for He never lets go of anyone. PLease pray for these boys for their mother has many children and a new baby with no husband at home. The harvest is plentifull but the workers are few!!!! Lord bless you, Nancy
