Joey, while I may be biased having made alot of money on Apple this year as I did on Intel last year, I would think everyone would applaud Apple's decision to unify the peripherals marketplace by abandoning old Mac specific ports. This will only bode well for the industry by allowing creative companies access to that much larger a marketplace for peripherals they design. As to printers, there are already USB printers available and third party vendors already have available USB to Parallel and serial adapters as well as USB to Apple specific port adapters. Also the iMac comes standard with ethernet and IR and there exists many ethernet printers in the Mac world as well as third party vendors shipping USB to ethernet adapters. AS to no slots, again think USB. Things like video capture, better speakers etc. are or will shortly be available in USB. As to no floppy, Zip, Imatron, etc. already have versions of their removable drives in USB, Imatron with matching colors. As to the review stating it's slow compared to other G3s - that's kind of relative - while not getting into the G3/PII speed controversy I can say confidently that the iMac processor is faster than vast majority of equivalent low end processors by a significant margin. Everyone should applaud Apple's bold moves, both as relates to design and the features of the iMac. IF iMac sells well as it appears it's going to - PC makers may rethink some of the common PC design characteristics making it a win-win situation for all of us. Rich

Joey,
Seems the iMAC is banking on the USB port. Hey, I already have a parallel port printer. Will it plug into a USB port?
