Capt'n,

I wonder if the CIA/Clinton Administration leaked to the NY Times the info on that nuclear scientist from Iraq to help prepare the public for possible intervention there. If the West understands Iraq is an inch away from building the Bomb, I don't think anyone will stop an alliance from taking Saddam out. This would also be following a "Wag the Dog" scenario, where Clinton uses warfare to boost his popularity. Perhaps it is a contingency plan if his Monica admission tomorrow doesn't play in Peoria. It's a long shot analysis, but one I wouldn't discount.

As an aside, I think Clinton will admit or allude to an affair with Monica, and Slick Willy will get away it, as usual, unless Starr has concrete obstruction of justice evidence.

Richard

PS. Mike from La., I got your tongue in cheek as most would have if they had followed your previous thoughts.
