I don't think it will work. I for one will NOT stifle myself if I see obvious pump and dump schemes going on... I believe in total freedom of expression and that includes all the mindless banter that goes on in here. I will continue to react to what I see as I see fit. I call 'em like I see 'em. I have tried to avoid the back and forth slamming lately, but will ALWAYS defend myself. (By the way I am still waiting for an apology) With respect to stock picks, I think healthy skepticism is wise here. Tim Luke pines for the old days when SI just hopped on every BB play of the day and lots of money was made. Those "good old days" may not have been as good as he remembers them, but in any case, that method of investing does NOT work anymore. We can not blindly buy because others are. With respect to personalities and personal attacks... I STRONGLY believe that this appeal for an attack free week is due to lost respect and subsequent volume. (I also find it difficult to believe that Tim Luke and Dog have REALLY made up... and have found even a shred of mutual respect. That however is of no ipmortance...) If you (Big Dog) had not made the outrageous claims RE: CYGS, and NBET, you would still have a lot of supporters. You have seriously damaged your online presence and power base, and it may never recover. This request for peace "for the sake of SI" is a thinly veiled attempt to get people to rally around you in what seems like a good cause, but is more likely an attempt at damage control.... I make no promises. I will however gladly look at any serious stock plays, and post my opinions when something strikes me. I have several suggestions as well, and will be happy to share them with those interested. I have no problems with discussing stocks seriously (with the occasional wise crack thrown in), but I will not keep silent if I see the BS start to fly...... MG
