over 800,000 DVD Video households this year in North America, which is expected to grow to 8.6 million households by the year 2002. That's a 40% compounded growth rate. If LSI is able to sustain its 25% share of the DVD market, that would be sensational. On the other hand, the Fibre Channel growth rate makes that look pretty tepid. Let me see now. LSI is selling at 13 times next year's PE and has products that are at the beginning of a 40% annual growth rate at the end of the most sustained bottom of the semi market in the past ten years. What are the odds that it will languish at 18 and 15/16s for the next year?
