Iran Cut Production in July --- says report, according to Bloomberg
(Sorry, No Link)

This could be really good news. Iran has been seen as a much more shaky part of the production-cuts cartel than the Saudis. Firm evidence of appropriate cuts there will be big positive for oil sector, IMHO

Diana,
I looked at the site you posted, but I did not see the quote you had included in your post that traders were unsure whether the Saudi cut was a entirely new cut, or just meeting their quota. the reference you included seems to have no doubt that it is a new cut. Where did you get your quote?
It's a terrible thing for the people living there, but it sounds like if the last dike in China gives way, oil will go up considerably. From what they are saying, it looks like they have already lost around 50,000 barrels per day, with a likelihood of much more.
