Maybe the lower prices for PII-300's are the reason for short supply. HP has a employee purchase program and sells refurbished PII-300 with DVD, 48 MB RAM, 8GB drive (no monitor) for about 999. They dropped it to 899 last week and got sold out within a day. Also I noticed in Costco monitors and PCs are getting sold out as well. Could be a good sign for the last 2 qtrs. Most people like myself are getting to the next upgrade cycle and finding it is much cheaper to get into a PII than even trying to upgrade.
