Hello Sid,

We may see a market bottom today or tomorrow, but this should be a short term bottom. I believe that a stock market crash (not necessarily overnight) will precede the depression by 6-9 months, although warning signs are all around us.
In a bubble, the miracle of no inflation, minimum unemployment growth is possible because excess money inflates equity (and real estate) prices instead of goods prices (the currency is depreciated against equities but not against goods and services).

There is a rule in cartoons: the animated characters can run off the cliff's edge and continue running in mid air until they look down. Only after they realize they're standing on thin air do they fall.
