Cendant, which worked way up from beyond 14. I bought in the upward momentum, shortly when they crossed 15. Also sold out after I got 2 warnings that the midterm direction of CD is seen downwards. But it was good motion and it brought 2.
WWW (Wolverine) which had a pretty action on Thu, you see the low at 11) when trading was halted due an imbalance, reopening with a 300k bunch at 11. Nuts, but I wagered a position shortly after the trading halt. (I sold off on Friday just beyond 14).
OMM, a penny on the amex which posted good earnings is to be a midterm hold. I bought a buch at 4 5/8, but put away the half at 4 13/16 and 4 7/8.
I got burned on a former short, CMI when I catched the falling knife at 2,25. It did open with a 2 ask the next day and finally went down to 1 5/8. it was not a big position, not k's of stock, but burned the money earned on WWW.

About OCOM,CTXS,AND,SEBL. OCOM is NM in the meantime. On AND I almost got burned. I tried to short it days ago once beyond 8, got no fill in 10 minutes, cancelled the order only to see it 2 days later near 10.
Siebel is nearer to 30 than to 20. I go long SEBL. First Virtual filed planned sales if some 100k's of stock, recently but that does not mean too much. The co is big. The trade pattern look nice and pointing upwards again, after the $10-dive in july.
Another play is in SIEBERT. They issued rights due End August, which are available for trading, too. The rights have a strike of 7.5 and are fully covered as the new shares will be issued on exercise of the rights. SIEB closed at 8 1/8, the rights at 7/8 so you pay a 1/8 premium and the spreads + commissions. It looks a bit expensive but if the stock drops far enough, you could end up with a gain. Forther more, if the rights are not in the money, stock will go up after 31 of Aug. If the rights are exercised, and stocks hit the market again, then...
To take a cheap covered short, Short the stock and get some of the rights.
Future picks:
Hansens Natural Corp.(HANS) got an strong buy rating from "insiderwire". I never heard of that company before (They do not offer products in Europe). The chart looks nice but consider hansens product (refreshments), which enjoys some seasonality, although they seek to neutralize it by placing energy and vitamine drinks for the autumn and winter seasons. Well, the stock went up steady in the last year, so far, but a slow stock.
Chances are pretty good that the "stock-up" inducing heavy trading and price activity will take place. I am missing those actions, since the days of CFON, XYBR, KTEL, KLB, CRDM, FVHI, WCAP and ITEX.

HTEI, which offered 5.5 mio shares, only 2 Mio from the co, the rest from "selling shareholders", looks ugly. I found nothing special in the SEC filing for now, only some minor stock issues for recent takeovers. But this I will short for good - pure speculation.

Telebras will see an upward momentum, if market turns a bit more positive, it won't go to 130-150 in the short run, but 110 are possible. I already split up my latin america investment in TBR, Telecom Argentina, Chile Telecom CTC, and UBB of brazil. I carry a short in Venezuela VNT. I increase TBR position a bit.
