<<Apple says it took 150,000 orders for the $1,299 iMac before sales began. One Apple insider said this week the number is closer to 350,000. Heading into the school year and then the holiday shopping season, traditionally important sales periods for Apple, there are even estimates that iMac sales could total 800,000-900,000 by year-end.>>

The demand for iMac so far is unbelievably strong, which doesn't
encounter its sales world-wide that will be kicked off September 5th.
I think the iMac sales will be hot for the entire back-to-school
season and then international sales will continue its heat. I
wouldn't surprised that the total volume will reach twice of 350,000
mentioned above in the article after foreign sales numbers are
included in the calculation for this quarter.

It doesn't need a rocket scientist to figure out how much profit and revenue
iMac will generate in the current quarter as well as the next one.

Cheers,

Phil
