I understand your conflicts but I have trouble understanding why you voted for him in light of what you said. I really can not see what this man has done that is so great. A Republican Congress has basically prevented him from doing the terrible things he wanted to do?

On a lighter note, observers noted the following people entering the White House today: Tawana Brawley, The Reverend Al Sharpton, Alton Maddox and Geraldo Rivera.

You've bought into the liberal propaganda Rarebird. Americans could look up to Ron Reagan and George Bush and Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter before them. Say as you might about their politics, they were decent human beings. Can you say that about our current President (with a straight face)? Character does count. I doubt very much we'd have seen our Presidency debased in the manner we have seen under a President Dole. I was no ardent Dole supporter but as between the two, its a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. Bob Dole's no religious zealot either and you're just rationalizing a very bad decision and its consequences. JLA

The Republicans are hurting for Presidential candidates. Why they don't want to impeach Clinton. Gore with all his faults would be much harder to defeat as an incumbent. Myron
