You are probably right that things will heat up a lot more before they get better.

Right now I do not believe that the companies with a stake in Angola will do anything overt to fight UNITA. They have the resources and in the case of EO the manpower and the capabilities.

The UN will not enforce a peace in Angola but they would, I believe, not stand for Companies going on the offensive in order to safeguard their holdings.

It would have to be a covert action with the funding not linked to the Companies. That is not to say that the Companies cannot defend their fence perimeter. Beyond the fence perimeter is a whole different matter.

The next six months or so should be interesting. I am still very bullish that SUF will eventually have a mine in Angola. If not this year then next. Fun to speculate.
