Ciena even buys some product from JDS. There is news out there of pricing pressures in telecom equipment. I don't think people have been expecting this. JDS could be vulnerable as it trades at a high PE (down today in an up market). Declining margins will shrink the PE. As for Ciena, I haven't had a chance to look closely at the reports. How much is due to purchase delays by telecoms? Can you comment Pat. (you probably bought more Ciena today. Right?) Longer term, industry should still be positive. Maybe we'll get a good buying opportunity for JDS out of this.
