Subject: Honor With A Caveat Shame on me for not reading the thread before posting. :O In spirit with the thread, I will bore you all and recount my experience with the market. It's all Bob's fault! I had heard a few of his programs and realized the wisdom in his views. In 1995, I quit my job without even the glimmer of another job in sight. I had my IRA moved to a broker because Bob had convinced me that I could be in the market and make my own decisions. My IRA was 100% in the stock of my former employer, and my initial goal was to diversify my portfolio. I purchased some 'triple whammies' during the 1996 summer correction, namely some semi stocks. These stocks had climbed so much in value by winter that I decided to trade them. I find that my style, buying stocks like groceries, with Bob's advice has served me well. Bob is often like that little voice in the back of your head that prevents you from doing something really stupid. I greatly respect Bob, but reserve the right to make my own decisions, :) which leaves me no one to blame but myself if I make some bad decisions when buying/selling. Bob helped me through a period of unemployment. I made 'the market' a full time job and found that my skills as a computer analyst were valuable in selecting which bargains to purchase. I am now employed and trade stocks merely as a sideline. You may notice that I own STII and UTEK, and yes, I would have never purchased them except for the mention by Bob. They are 2 of 3 stocks that I did not sell in the spring because of their lackluster performance. Am I bitter? Of course not! It was my choice to purchase them. I still greatly respect Bob, and will continue to do so, even when (if?) he misses a buying point in the market. *Hey, he's only human after all!* His record speaks for itself. Bob is the only market analyst I listen to.
