Well i am sorry that you and the truth have lost so much on epic ,i did not but have lost on many other vse investments that i had thought i had done my due diligence on only to be bitterly disappointed.i am not putting any new money in vse stocks but am trying whenever i can to sell the clunkers and upgrade into better natural resource stocks on the tse which have been similarly beaten up but i believe represent a better long term chance like metallica and pangea because of good managment and money in the bank which will enable them to survive. i am afraid it was so obvious to me that epic safari was a hype job and i tried to convey that ,
there was an interesting piece in the wsj today by jack kemp about money supply ,gold and oil prices and how he thinks that the fed is overly concerned about inflation and is in danger of setting off a world wide deflationary crisis and advocates monetary policies to push the price of gold and probably other commoditied up , target for gold would be 325 $ an ounce , it remains to be seen if the fed will take note and listen.its so easy now to see that the vse was in a major bull market a couple of years ago and is now in the grip of a major bear brought on by the combined effects of commodity price deflation and a bunch of crooks taking advantage .i have no intention now of commiting large sums into any vse stocks no matter how good one is told the prospects are but will keep my much diminished funds in a few select natural resource stocks in the knowledge that someday it will recover as it has in the past .as for epic i have no intention of investing i believe there are much better chances in more secure oil and gas stocks of which i have personal knowledge through friends who are experts in the industry.my main focus in terms of stock investing is going to be dollar cost averaging into quality companies like merck, servicemaster,j&j,intel and mutual funds .its much safer and the long term rewards are much better that the crap game which is th e vse.
