been lurking here for a bit...

what sto's and rsi are you finding favorable with the 8.17.9 macd?

here are some stocks that fit the 8.17.9
abax, bxg, harb, helo, icgn, inso, pprt, shx
it is a scan and i have not looked at them as yet, if you have time to comment that would be great, also, i have dabbled with an macd 5.8.13 and wondered if you ever looked at that one?

>>...thats where RSI, Stochs etal come in on the tie breakers or confirmation.

Agreeded.

Do you work much with momentum? I have been playing around with this a little and studying its' history with different combinations of days(#) plugged into the equation. My thinking is that I'd like to find something a bit more radical at finding the bottoms and/or tops.

I have this one which may be extreme, but is a 14-7-2 for momentum. Just something to make me cramp my brain a little more.

I also am watching the direction of XCIT and YHOO carefully, as you have pointed out on a number of times , they do follow this sorta' pattern, and can give insight to the potential events occuring earlier or later that the others.

I was close to dumping the LCOS(against the trend again at 65), but feel for a # of reasons this might prove to continue with the uptrend. As always there are outside factors that need to be observed that can impact the charts and throw off the indicators in either way.

Do you ever use MACD for interday buys/sells? Or Usually wait until the numbers are tallied up at the end of the day? Nothing really in mind, just interested?
