Dru,

I remember back in the early 80s when the dow was below 1000 and the oil stocks were in the dumper. The level of pain in the market was extreme and nobody thought stocks were the place to be. If that happens again, we have a long, long way to go. Not only is the pain level still seem fairly minor, most will not even acknowledge the possibility of an Asian type crisis here.

Aus All Ordinaries down 38 points so far. Nikkei down 450 or so (below 15000). 15000 has been a support level on Nikkei historically and it just went straight through it.
