Mr Muench and Gary : I am not clairvoyant!

Nor have I a vested interest in flogging gold or gold products or gold shares or gold stories.

And I, too, can see that the gold/XAU price has been / is going one way --- down. In fact, I would imagine even a blind person could see that.

I also know that, from the historical relationships, there will be no bull market in gold (of any consequence) while the US dollar is strong (= weak Yen).

But, am impressed with the consolidation pattern which has built up in both gold/ XAU since the beginning of the year. To me it seems we are at a critical point now. If the price holds, there could be a reversal. If the price falls, then continuation of the bear market, to wherever, is confirmed. As Mr Auger forecasts.

I just didn't see the picture as being so cut-and-dried but, maybe, it is?!

Gary,
No, it does not look very pretty.
However, on the Elliot Wave note, I spent some time a couple of years ago following their daily updates. I never was so confused in all my life. If this, if that, this means this, this means, this happened so it nullifies that, bullish for 3 days, bearish for week, neutral long term. Good grief. More power to you if it helps. I am sure it does to many.
