<<I hope things turn out for the better on Tuesday....>> Just because the company says news will be released Tuesday doesn't mean it will. Remember the news release that was supposed to come out in April or so? We were told that it would be out "shortly." Well, no news came out AT ALL...we had to wait until the AGM, and then the news was all bad (except for the non-certified leach results gotten prematurely vis phone, so as to give people hope to replace the dashed hopes concerning Q2 production). Since everyone expects the news Tuesday, one fear the company may have is that too much attention will be paid to Tuesday morning, so perhaps they will try to catch us off guard by putting it out early or late. Disclosing bad news (that's what I speculate it will be anyway) requires a lot of planning, you see. Remember the MO...you first give out what sounds like good news to give people hope for the future. This keeps the masses happy for months. And then you dash all such hopes by having to report bad news, but replace it with new hopes by giving out some new good news. This keeps the masses happy for a few months longer, and then you repeat the cycle again and again. Of course, the optimal wording of such news releases is to disclose some good news at the top of the page to put people in the right frame of mind, then disclose the bad news further down the page as gently as possibly, and then finish off with an upbeat paragraph with possibly more good news; in this way, the good news predominates and the bad news de-emphasized and everyone goes away happy. Note from Maxam's press release and Chairman's update archive at the website that bad news is NEVER released on its own...there's always some good news included to deflect people's attention from the bad news. I predict this upcoming press release will require much reading between the lines to find the bad news because the company appears extremely close to the edge of the abyss. Again, I hope I'm wrong about this, for I would truly like Maxam to succeed. Imagine the effect on the world if DD mining came to pass. Rand
