I have to concur with Martins post. Let's face it, we're here because we have money invested. To be sure there are short term and day traders and that's fine. They keep the markets liquid. However, with that said, it's highly deceptive for a so-called thread participant to be a pro on a given few days and then turn on the stock with negative sarcasm the next few days hoping to keep the price down and most importantly deter any new investors form coming aboard from the pool of lurkers that regularly cruise through various threads. It is from this pool that the new investor emerges, after doing their own DD, and adds to the investor base. May even become a day trader themselves. And that's OK. Just so long as they play fair and not deceive the thread about their intentions. This constant reversal of persona without a qualifying disclaimer, feigning the appearance of balance , when in reality only making statements that are self-serving is the mark of a low-life. There is no humor, no fun, to be had by anyone, except maybe the dirtball who deceives those passer-by's, in trivializing the company or its goals, just to reach its own self centered goals of dissuading the lurker from investigating and/or investing at that point in time. All of us need to remember that these SI threads are living dynamic message boards. On any given day new eyes are reviewing various stocks for consideration. Every time a board accepts or jokes back with a deceptive or disingenuous poster, those passer-by lurkers/new investors take the deceptive posters comments at face value. Not knowing this same poster is in their depressive phase of posting. Yes, I boost the stock. Yes I make some projections that can be viewed as hype, (they are sincere, and I really believe the opportunity for their execution is real,) but one thing remains true. I'm consistent. On the other hand, I do have a real concern, and that is the cash situation, and I also state that clearly and also with consistency. I think it's great that we can all have some fun here on the thread. But not fun at the expense of other peoples equity in their investments. I would suggest that if we were all in the same room, unmasked, the longs would not change one bit of their postings. I also believe that some of these so-called daytraders would not show up for fear of having their a$$ kicked, because of their deceptive tactics. So, in summary, if any of you want to day trade, that's koooel. The longs, myself most notably, accept that without reservation. But if you do daytrade, do so out in the light of day with honesty. But to be patently dishonest in your postings day to day, trying to be humorous in the process, and trying to see-saw the buy/sell prices just for your selfish purposes, makes you the lowest of dirtbags. No two ways about it. I can't stop anyone from saying what he or she wishes here on the thread. But I heartily recommend that we do our collective best not to give credibility to those that deceive us and the passer-by lurker/new investor, with predictable regularity. Rich
