NetVantage Sets Date for Special Stockholder Meeting to Vote On Merger With Cabletron

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1998--NetVantage Inc. (Nasdaq:NETVA) Monday announced that it has scheduled a special meeting of
stockholders for Sept. 25, 1998, to vote on the company's proposed acquisition by Cabletron Systems Inc. (NYSE:CS).

The record date for the special meeting has been set as Aug. 13, 1998.

Within the next few days, NetVantage and Cabletron plan to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and then mail to NetVantage's stockholders, the
definitive proxy statement/prospectus relating to the proposed acquisition.

Bruce, without knowing how many devices are used per assembly (which I do not) its impossible to know the specific # of SSR's ? they are manufacturing. I also imagine that there are different configurations of the end system which require varying #'s of boards.
At any rate, the number is increasing.
