Digitcom Corporation announced plans for the immediate installation of IP/Telephone Network service in five cities in Indonesia with the signing of a joint venture agreement with PT Duta Pertiwi Santosa (Wisma StarPage, Jakarta).

"Immediate installation," which means this is not some future plan, but is being done now. Another example of Jimmy's strategy of telling us what is being done, rather than coming out with a news release about what might happen in the future. I wonder what else he has in store for us from those two months of silence?

Five cities in Indonesia; this adds to the growing list, which includes Seoul Korea, Tokyo Japan, Taipei Taiwan, and Sydney Australia. Now we add Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Surabaya, and Denpasar.

''This initial five-city installation will give the Digitcom Network access to each of Indonesia's main regional centers for the delivery of IP-Telephone services between Indonesia and other points on the Pacific Rim, and to customers in North America,'' said Digitcom CEO Jimmy Chin.

Looks like Jimmy is placing the gateways at strategic locations; servicing all of Indonesia, and intenetting with Australia and the countries of Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. All coming in to the new LA termination point. And all outfitted with the best equipment: NMSS Fusion platforms at the remote locations, terminating into a Nortel switch in LA.

''Digitcom's acquisition of PT Primedia ArmoEkadata has provided the licensing framework for our Internet Protocol telecom network within Indonesia. The participation of StarPage will considerably accelerate our deployment and marketing of service to customers.''

Another bud that is beggining to flower. Remember the PT Primedia acquisition from a couple of months ago? Just like the JDI International, which only last week was shown to have a connection with NMSS, which we never would have guessed.

Marketing of Digitcom's innovative Internet Protocol long distance telephone service and customary ISP services will commence within 90 days in the five cities.

Within 90 days. That will also be enough time to complete testing of the NMSS gateways. Looks like we might have a nice Christmas. :-)
