1st meal at the MOA
tried the awarded tenderloin medallions with with pesto mashed spuds
(very good) and onion straws (also good: not greasy, very thin, not overbreaded). Medallions were not large but very high quality.

jambalaya bisque was also good, but maybe a touch spicy for Scandanavian tastes:)

salad had very fresh greens, croutons that were not oversized and a reasonably tasty vinaigrette.

the banana creme brulee was also great...

The ambience of the macchu piccu room was also a plus. running water,
tables that are wellspaced and no sense that you are in a mall. about a half hour into the meal the lights dimmed an unobtrusive slide show played on a basrelief plaster? wall hanging of a mountainside Macchu Piccu?

On the minus side:
The waitperson was friendly but inept, only brought water for one.
He forgot the signature bread c. sun-dried tomato butter.
He forgot the pacific rim lo mein we ordered (left us room for dessert).

When I put my name on the list (which is entered by computer and tracked for time of wait until seating) another party was disappointed to learn that there was no way to insure a table for eight (on the fly) even with a wait. I don't know if they can do reservations (but I assume they could have accommodated that party with advance warning)
I'd go back, the menu is varied and extensive, a reasonable value, but I hope the service was an anomaly. I sold my common, am holding warrants, and hope they get the operation firing on all cylinders.

It seems like a very marketable concept.

They have a world classs MIS for table seating with a touchscreen display showing the state of all tables. We were given a pager at 8:20 on a Saturday evening and told that the wait would be 40-50'.
Though not paged we were seated on our return at 9:10.

Re: competition at the MOA. IMO only the Napa Valley Grille and the California Cafe have better food, and their pricing structure is higher. Have never been to RAIN.

I'd be a buyer of DAVE before CODY based on length of time to profitability, cost to establish new locations, and mass appeal.
