Actually, I think the model progression is as follows:

iMac+ - Model has floppy drive built in
iMacSE - Model has Cable modem and two USB floppies
iMacSE/G30 - Faster Gigahertz range processor and better expanadbility features.

iMacII - for business and graphics professionals with added upgrade slots
iMacIIc - same as above, box getting to size of notebook, but still heavy.
iMacIIci/si/cx - smaller, but fewer slots for expanding
iMax/fx - expensive machine with no standard monitor capability - instead it uses twin holo-projectors (one for the virtual keyboard and one for the monitor)

Then you get into the next downhill slide of Apple with the Millenus and DoLotsa series.

Next great innovations in speed and machine design don't come until the 40th Anniversary iMac - a small crystalline cube that sports a solarambient light powered holoprojection system and voice activation.

It could happen. Think different folks!
