Since we are already in philosophical territory...

There are different approaches to solve problems and finding the truth:

There is one group who claims that there is a truth out there which has to be discovered (Sorry in the moment I don't know the official expression representing such a group). The whole science is aimed to find this truth.

Another group is supporting the "discussional philosophy". Here it is not important whether there is a truth out there or not, only the discussion about an issue and the way you try to solve problems is relevant.

What I mean is that raising questions might help to understand things better even if those questions are not solved.

By the way, it seems that funds are interested in MO today.
