Steve,

I did my usual research on the term "floorless convertible". It wasn't in my Barron's financial dictionary. When I did an AltaVista search I got 47 hits. They were all linked to SI.

If reg B shares have been converted at this prices the holders would
have to file their 5%+ ownership with SEC. I don't see that.
Unless they converted in small junks and are dumping it(that would explain the seemingly endless supply last few weeks). So much for the theory of long term patient investors.

REG C has penalties built into converting early so I doubt it's happening. And there supposedly is a NASDAQ rule preventing conversion which would result in 20%+ ownership without seeking shareholder approval.

Steve,

I finally got a chance to think about your theory, and run a 20 Day Moving Average against ANCR. I show the 20 DMA at about $1.50 after yesterday's close. It also seems to me that if your theory is correct, unless the price can be driven substantially lower, most of the incentive to hold the price down will be over soon. (The 10 DMA is at $1.40, so I think it is unlikely that the 20 DMA will be able to push below that.) Is this your take as well? Is it something you are willing to invest a little money on? <g>
