Out of Short

Ameritrade cancelled two of my sell short orders
due to lack of shares available to short.

What is going on?????

Is that dangerous when they are out of short and
the market jumps then making it hard to cover to buy???

I sold(opened) @123; just the 100 shares.
I placed the sell order last night.

Jan,

I opened and then closed some shares at a loss. However, I re-opened 600 shares and need 119 1/2 to break even and below to turn a profit to day. I have a bad tendency to panic at times with this stock. I am trying to overcome that:-)
