We still don't know who was really behind it all. Christensen profited by selling the shell to Jack. What happened next wouldn't really have mattered much to him, except that it would have been to his advantage for share price to go up, obviously, as he was, and is, sitting on a bundle of stock. Same for Gort.

So who actually raked in the big bucks? Jack? He very likely got a cut, but he doesn't seem bright enough to think up a scam with even moderate hopes of success. Son or nephew? They don't seem very clever either. Who was pulling the strings?

Who was it who persuaded Jack to start up an energy company rather than buy an apartment complex, as he'd originally planned to do?

Hmmmmmm?
