Chuzzlewit, I know that stock splits do not add to value but come as a result of growth and management's choice to make the stock more affordable. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. THe growth rate I was addressing and asking the Cat to assess was the one posed by Kemble some time go in a post like this one:

Dennis,
Hi!!! I usually don't use figures...let's just say that the $60 billion
sales by 2001 is an estimate I heard Mort Topher made to his VP's just
this week...kinda scary huh?? Let's see....those five splits in five
years...gosh, I was wrong again.....shucks <<GGG>>......Go figure this
one out....get a calculator if your math is as good as mine..it gets
very scary!!! :o)

BUY A TON MORE OF DELL.....QUICK!!!

Is it a pipe dream or realistic to expect Dell to grow at such a rate that it will be able to split once a year for the next five years whether it chooses to do so or not.
I value your views, cat. Please do not hiss at me.
