Data Dimensions Awarded Contract by Ross Stores; Year 2000 Contract Covers
Enterprise-Wide Assessment and IT Conversion

BELLEVUE, Wash., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Dimensions, Inc. (DDI)
(Nasdaq: DDIM) today announced it has been awarded a follow-on contract by
Ross Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROST) covering Year 2000 process management for a
variety of business functions. Data Dimensions was engaged by Ross Stores to
assess and scope the project and has now been retained to assist in the
conversion and testing phases for the national off-price apparel retailer.
Under the enterprise-wide program, Data Dimensions will implement Year
2000 corrective processes for specific business functions of
Newark-California-based Ross Stores across the broad distribution and supply-
management issues unique to the retail industry. This assignment includes
desktop equipment, embedded-chip equipment and systems, property systems,
telecommunications and vendors and suppliers.
"With more than 300 stores across the country, Ross needs excellent
management information and automation systems," said Jane Rice, Ross Stores'
vice president of Management Information Systems. "We turned to Data
Dimensions for this critical phase of our ongoing Year 2000 remediation

range of industries solve Year 2000 technology problems.
