I think the fact that the 'leaders' are only now just recognising the opportunity IP presents suggests the contrary.

Bird,

Using your logic, we should all still be getting around by horse and buggy. Give me a break!! Industry leaders in whatever industry are notorious for resting on their laurels while the future passes them by. Telcos are no different.

But that's not the issue here. The major players are not attractive partners precisely because of their size and their interest in being the 800-pound gorilla in any situation. Negotiating win-win partnerships with emerging countries is not something they are good at or in general capable of. Jimmy Chin, however, seems to have mastered the art of the win-win negotiation. I like what I see. And there's more to follow.

Rick

What was Bill Gates before Microsoft was big, nothing but a traveling salesman with a vision.

BTW, everywhere you post you post nothing but negative comments. It is truly amazing to me how you could spend so much time on the mtei and dgiv threads, but hold no position. You must be one of those truly philanthropic individuals who are just looking out for the little people.

Thank you for saving me from myself.

John
