BBruin, Thanx for the website and detailed reponse. However, my concerns remain. This appears to be a good alternative to PGP; user applications like securing email and encrypting sensitive information on your computer. But I don't see this technology being used in commercial networks, the high-end product is, IMO, too slow, and is software only (at this point).... at least from what i can tell from the specs on the website... On a price/efficency basis for their "regular strength" products, Certicom's ECC algorithm has been around longer and has withstood closer real world scrutiny, and is pretty damn fast... DES (and triple DES) is of course the tried and true solution, and will likely continue to hold the lion's share of the market... in the near term... On the very high end (gov't side), we aren't even talking the same league of product security... most of the solutions used in these networks are very advanced (and expensive) hardware solutions.... Large key encryption is, in reality, pointless without real hardware random number generation and secure key storage.... at least from what i understand... So... IMO, JAWZ has some good potential in the consumer encryption market... and possibly in the end user corporate world, but although this is a pretty big market...there is some pretty tough competition in this market from some well-established players. The only other thing that worries me is that it appears as if the company is trying very hard to market itself to wall street... which, although sometimes beneficial to shareholders, must eventually be backed by real revenues and earnings... getting some hardware vendors to incorporate the JAWZ algorithm into their products would IMO, be a great start for them... but it's a tough road... and pretty risky, but I guess with a $0.50 stock, you already assumed that ;-) I am no expert on this stuff, and am not an engineer or anything, but this is my $0.02 based on what i've read and my understanding of the security world... I hope things work out... Thanx again for the info, Enam
