JLA It doesn't. You are laboring with a severe handicap in this situation. You are trying to apply common sense and logic in an arena where those attributes have been discarded long ago. Remember Mike McCurry said if there were "a simple explanation for this we would have heard it by now" well, he really means that if there was a "spinnable" truthful explanation we would have heard it. So now that the defenders are running out of tortured analysis trying to explain the behavior of BC what we're left with is waiting to hear what version of "the truth" Clinton will decide has a chance of being successfully "spun". Dangerous strategy in light of whatever evidence Starr may have uncovered. bp
