Len, NOT silly, not at all, and yes I tried a lot of your good stuff, am still trying things. I can't resume daytrading until I resolve this issue. The phone company folks don't seem interested in improving my regular line, though. You know how it is dealing with them. <g> They have enough problems without mine, too. I live in a new residential area with new lines, but in a small city and I'm afraid the phone system network probably isn't made for high speed data. Bill
