I agree with you. 90% of my money is invested that way. I pay little attention to it over the years and it just grows at a reasonable rate. However, I have 10% of my money that disagrees with the above statement and is for the volitile day trades and short term. It usually makes higher gains, but I could lose it quick too. I learned that in 1987. I rode that one out and only wished I didn't have it all invested long term. November/December 1987 was an excellent time to buy, but I didn't have the cash (It was all in mutual funds). I now have that 10% and would look forward to build that 10% to use in the next crash. It will come, maybe not today, but it will come. Maybe not until Y2K kicks in, who knows. JMO

I know this may sound ridiculous, in light
of commonly prevailing theory that the market is driven purely by greed and fear, but I
happen to believe that socially responsible investing is important. I was teased last time I
said this, but heck... I'm just gonna speak my mind anyway.

Zax,

This has been my point right along. AMZN should not be even near here and to buy this based on momentum shows lack of ethics. In addition, the by side analysts show lack of ethics too in hyping this.
