"I wonder why the rep didn't point that out? I saw only two headphone
jacks on the front. Where is the other one."

There is a panel (with a hole) on the right side of the machine where the keyboard cable goes in. When you flip open the panel, there are 2 USB ports, one 16-bit sound input, one sound output, and a connector for the built-in 100 Base-T ethernet, and a phone line connector for the built-in 56K modem.

Most of the people at CompUSA and other stores demonstrating the iMac are volunteers and not Apple reps. There were 2000-3000 Mac users that volunteered their time to help out with the product intro. I was one of them. I think this kind of customer loyalty is unheard of in the PC industry.I spent about 9 hours helping people out at a local CompUSA. Customers (both PC and Mac users) were very excited about the iMac. All 40+ units of iMacs were sold out within 3 hours.

McMannis - Re: ""If Apple had done that
then the Apple world would be in the same state as the PC world. No standards, nothing fits etc.""

You should have pointed out that the USB in his precious iMAC was an invention of none other than INTEL as is the PCI bus in all other current MAC desktops.
