Melinda,
Conference calls are designed to help inform investors of upcoming events. Basically it is a tool that many companies use to let investors actually hear a voice from someone within the company. Many companies will allow you to fax questions to the IR person relating to questions you may have. They may or may not be addressed but it's worth a try if you have a question you want answered. They will publish an 800 number to call at the time the call will take place and generally there is an alternate number to call to listen to a replay of the call. Hope this helps.

Melinda. be very cautious about BB stocks that do conference calls and consider what IR firm they are using. Most BB stocks use schlock promoters who hold conference calls to hype the stock. I am in MEGW, a BB that hires a blue chip PR firm. I asked them about a conference call and they said what for? There is no reason to do a conference call until company hits Nasdaq since brokerage community will not touch a BB and that is primarily who a conference call is for. It is only in recent years that companies have allowed shareholders to participate. Some still don't or leave them in a listen only mode because they feel shareholders ask inappropriate questions. Hope this helps.
