No, you didn't miss anything. It just looks like the Street has decided we aren't going to revert to a pre-computer age after all, and the stocks are so pounded down that they look better than anything else out there. (AMAT is the least pounded of the bunch, but it's also the sector leader so that makes it a good buy anyway.) Expect more wild swings once the same people realize that no one's actually buying equipment right now.

Rational market? Yeah, right.
