Customer Sports Announces Positive Outlook; To Retain Outside Advisor PR Newswire - August 17, 1998 14:15 SAN DIEGO, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Edmund J. Irvine, Jr., President of Customer Sports, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CTMR) stated today that the Company's prospects were excellent and that the Company could not account for the decline in the price of its stock. "The business prospects for our Community Golf Centers Division have never been brighter. In the last three months, we have acquired operations at two golf centers with another contract pending. Our goal is to have four operating by the end of October. Each center has the potential for over a million dollars in sales in its first year and substantially more thereafter." Given the existing market conditions, The Customer Sports Board of Directors has authorized the purchase of up to one million shares from time to time in the open market at prices to be determined. In a related matter, the Company's Board of Directors has authorized the search for, and retention of, an investment banking firm to assist the Company to determine future courses of action for the Company to maximize shareholder value. All options are to be explored including strategic mergers, acquisitions, and individual offerings to the public of shares of individual subsidiaries. In another matter, Customer Sports recently terminated an investor relations contract with a Florida firm hired by the Company to foster awareness of the Company's business and prospects with select stockbrokers and market makers. Except for historical information, this release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.
