Nannies and child care workers can now be subject to criminal history checks. The bill authorizes parents, upon the consent of a prospective nanny, to forward the nanny's fingerprints to the state Division of Criminal Justice Services, which will then forward the fingerprints to the FBI. Parents will be notified of any criminal convictions.
