bp,

By "we" I was referring to the liberals referred to in the previous post by Bill Vaughn. I dont believe you see yourself as belonging to that group - if so you were not included in the "we".

If he lies he will be impeached, no question. If he tells the whole truth he labels himself a perjurer. He has thoroughly boxed himself in with his previous statements (which, btw, reflect imo a total disregard for the law) so his only escape will be a political one,

I believe he will admit to the affair, and simply say truthfully that he decided (based on the advice of legal counsel) to deny the affair publicly on TV initially based on a semantic interpretation of the word "relations". He knew it was wrong, but legal (implication: technically NOT WRONG) but his main concern was to protect Monica and his family. Is this what you consider a political solution? Its probably the truth (not that it matters what his true feelings were regarding this personal matter).
