This is very interesting. In July, HWP guided analysts for lower expectation. Before this, street was expecting 62 cents. So looking at this, did HWP beat the estimates??

In earnings news, Hewlett-Packard tacked on 2 1/2 to 55 1/4. After the
close of trading, the benchmark computer manufacturer said it netted 58
cents a share in its fiscal third quarter, matching the year-ago figure. On
July 21, HP guided analysts to expect profits to come in below Wall
Street's estimate of 62 cents. Since then, analysts had revised their
forecast down to the present 54 cents.
